This handcrafted solid teak bench is crafted from old teak making it extremely hard and sturdy. Draws inspiration from the iconic mid-century designs of George Nakashima, whose work in the 1950s redefined modern woodworking through simplicity, balance, and reverence for natural materials and just won the design award at the 2025 Art Miami show.

Made in Bali by skilled artisans, the bench features a low, sculptural profile with a refined spindle backrest and subtly organic lines. The solid teak construction highlights the wood’s rich grain and dark tones, celebrating natural variation and timeless craftsmanship. Raw wood seat create irregular shape and dimensions.

Influenced by Japanese architecture, Zen philosophy, and modernist design, this piece functions beautifully as an entryway bench, accent seating, or statement piece in a living space.
