our ethos
found. is a lifestyle company that bridges the gap between global sustainable artisans and local communities. We offer a unique selection of handmade pieces, as well as our own collection of organic, sustainable, and conscious lifestyle products.
found. is a unique shopping experience, which promises to be an escape from the ordinary. Combining a guided and helpful shopping experience with one-of-a-kind products that narrate their own stories,
found. owners, sisters, Marisa Pepper and Andrea Pertnoy share over two decades of experience in the local retail environment.
marisa pepper
Marisa has spent her 20+ year career immersed in luxury fashion and retail, rising from the sales floor to lead major expansions for both local and international brands, with a focus on growing companies and connecting people with high-end product. Over time, she realized she wanted to do more than simply excel at business—she wanted to create a company guided by purpose.
Her love of travel exposed her to the remarkable craftsmanship of artisans around the world, inspiring her to bring those stories and skills, that she personally connected with, to her local community. That passion led to found., a curated collection of clothing, furniture and objects discovered on her journeys with her sister and family, crafted by the artisans they meet, and produced in responsible, high-quality factories.
found. reflects her commitment to uniquely timeless design that honors makers, supports the earth, and brings meaningful, joyful experiences to the people who welcome these creations into their homes and lives.
andrea pertnoy
Andrea’s work is grounded in the belief that everyday life can be both beautiful and deeply intentional. She spent more than a decade teaching yoga, sharing a practice rooted in presence, connection, and mindful living.
That foundation led her to co-create The Bee, an organic market, vegan café, and yoga studio that became a gathering place for wellness, nourishment, and community.
Over time, Andrea’s creative expression evolved into ceramics. Her functional pottery blends earth, utility, and quiet luxury—pieces designed to be held, used, and lived with.
Family remains central to Andrea’s work. Alongside her husband and two sons, she finds inspiration in the rituals of daily life—moments that shape her approach to craft, intention, and design.
Today, her work is part of found., the conscious retail space she co-founded with her sister. Together, they curate sustainable, soulful objects from around the world, creating a space where artistry, intention, and everyday living coexist.
our story
Our journey begins in the early 1980s, nestled in the sun-soaked suburbs of South Florida—a childhood defined by beauty, warmth, and the safety of a white picket fence. But that idyllic beginning only sparked a deeper desire: to explore far beyond the familiar. With endless curiosity and the support of an incredible family, we set out to experience the richness of the world—its cultures, flavors, traditions, and wild landscapes.
